We did a 3-day trek. Not much choice when you only have 7 days in the country as most treks last 3, 11, and 21 days. None-the-less, the 3 days were truly amazing.
Trekking Company
Our guide was Maila (second son). Our porter was Maila (second son). So we had Maila and Maila 2. These gentlemen were terrific. They were patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, helpful, fun, and kind. They made our trek a wonderful, memorable experience.
When to Go
October. This is the best month of the year to trek Nepal as this is when the skies are clear and blue providing spectacular views of the Himalayas. You can trek during the other months of the year but depending on the month, you will encounter hazy skies, rains, or snow. These conditions can still provide wonderful experiences. It's up to you to choose. With our one-wk break in October, it was a no-brainer. We went in October and are very happy with that choice.
